I live in PA and lived in The Woodlands (Houston) for years. I learned that it does in fact NOT get hot in PA ever..
Holy sh*t, I'd never leave the house if I lived down there.

But like Doc mentioned in one of his posts, he's wanting to get away from heat soak and wants more HP, so do the centri's really dissipate heat faster than a PD between WOT runs and keep the HP at a higher level?

I just got back from Nothern NH, it was 75 on Sunday. Locals were complaining about the heat wave.

PC Stage 2 IAT is 3-6 degrees over ambient. I made 681whp on 93 octane and only 17 degrees of timing at 11psi. I have the MAK Inlet to install which will put me around 12psi and likely pretty close to 700whp on pump with conservative timing...

DOC I assume you're going to go with a wastegate setup coming from a PD Blower due to the way the Centri's build power? I have no doubt this car will trap over 130mph as is on pump with a heavy launch. I'm not going to track this car though, building my Terminator for 2.9 Whipple on E85 with a SRA for that.

I am looking at centrifugal blowers at the moment. Presently running the VMP Gen2-R has great TQ but very bad heat soak. Beefcake recommended a Vortech at a great price but being the biggest mod besides a built engine figured I would ask you guys for some #s. The Procharger scares me with the crankshaft issues.

Why not just run an ice tank for the heat soak

I made 639whp on a Mustang Dyno. 13psi @ 7500rpm, stock exhaust. 19* of timing on 93+Torco (Was about 15 less whp without the Torco on 18* IIRC)

Procharger P1X Stage 2, other mods in sig. Not too worried about the crank issue since its very rare, and from what I read it is often caused by the balancer not being fully seated when installed.

If you're coming from a PD blower I would definitely do a wastegated setup to get a similar power delivery feeling with the centri. I plan on doing this soon.

My d1 made 702/568 on 91 with a stock catback. Now I have a Corsa sport catback and a Boss intake manifold that I am installing and I am curious to see what it puts down after. I have a buddy with a 3.4 whipple crusher termi on e85 and he can only run like 2-3 times before having to let it cool down. I on the other hand am only at 10-15 degrees over ambient after back to back to back runs.

Because as hot as it is here I would need a S/Cd Ice truck to follow me. Ice melts quick.

Wait for the CPR single turbo kit. Supposedly runs cooler than anything else out there. Most of the tuners I talked to recommended their kit.
