  1. Michigan *No longer needed* WTB 15-20' Oxford White PP, 401a

Found one, thanks! Hello all, long time lurker, first time posting. I finally have the space for a second car and am looking for the below: ~20-40K budget (depending on year, mileage, modifications, etc.) 15'-20' Oxford White Performance Pack, 401a 18+, Auto preferred Under 60k miles Great...
  2. Grab your pitchforks and light your torches, EB vs GT vs *gasp* Camaro

Agreed, but that engine....that noise it makes.
  3. Grab your pitchforks and light your torches, EB vs GT vs *gasp* Camaro

I COULD buy the GT350, I'd have to put $20k down, beg the wife and finally get over my fear of it ever seeing rain or a rock chip in traffic. I'd rather have something that isn't the end of the world if it gets a door ding.
  4. Grab your pitchforks and light your torches, EB vs GT vs *gasp* Camaro

It might be a knee jerk reaction but I think my decision was just made when I found this....drool! :eyebulge:
  5. Grab your pitchforks and light your torches, EB vs GT vs *gasp* Camaro

Meh, after experiencing the new interior, I have a hard time with the S197's. I'll probably end up with a GT I'm thinking, between price, engine, and simplicity; it will likely be the best choice. I'll probably go test drive one next weekend.
  6. Grab your pitchforks and light your torches, EB vs GT vs *gasp* Camaro

I wouldn't agree that I had my mind made up before posting, I didn't say it but I also love the S550. I didn't know the LT1's were having issues, that may play a big role in this. All in all, this was just a thread about fun factor vs $, while requesting experience from those who have modified...
  7. Grab your pitchforks and light your torches, EB vs GT vs *gasp* Camaro

See, I'm the weird guy. I HATED everything about the 5th gen Camaro but they fixed everything I hated with the 6th gen. I love the front, the back and the interior. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the spoiler but I can order it with the new blade spoiler which solves that issue.
  8. Grab your pitchforks and light your torches, EB vs GT vs *gasp* Camaro

I'd buy a gt350 in a heart beat if I could get the performance/track pack with Nav and with leather recaros.
  9. Grab your pitchforks and light your torches, EB vs GT vs *gasp* Camaro

Agreed, that's why this is so hard. That $48k for the Camaro is a tough pill to swallow even if I lease it. $48k is deep into German luxury territory. Edit* But I like all my bells and whistles, I'll only do fully loaded. If bare bones and HP was my goal, i'd keep my 400rwhp fox body.
  10. Grab your pitchforks and light your torches, EB vs GT vs *gasp* Camaro

Yeah the Camaro 2SS sold itself, beautiful and fun car. I was still hoping to give the Mustangs their opportunity here.
  11. Grab your pitchforks and light your torches, EB vs GT vs *gasp* Camaro

I just started reading about the EB issues yesterday, but like any product you there is much more motivation to post about issues rather than great experiences. I don't know if i'm recognizing the pattern correctly but it seems like a majority of the EB issues come from early 2015 model builds???
  12. Grab your pitchforks and light your torches, EB vs GT vs *gasp* Camaro

Blk2015GT, yeah I've looked at the pricing for months now. Z plan on a GT PP w/ Nav is around $37k. $28-29k on the EB PP. The Camaro as built is $48k, which I won't get positive on in 3-4 years so it's more cost effective to lease. I can and will throw $10k at a down payment for a car that I buy...
  13. Grab your pitchforks and light your torches, EB vs GT vs *gasp* Camaro

All good points, I suppose I could throw in a bit more info I just didn't want to write a book. I'm not too scared of the direct injection issues, I expect the industry to develop better maintenance methods soon with all the DI engines out now and on top of that I rarely keep a car more than 3-4...
  14. Grab your pitchforks and light your torches, EB vs GT vs *gasp* Camaro

I start off by saying, yeah I saw this dead horse as I walked in :paddle:...but this is a more apples to oranges comparison, on purpose. As I mentioned in my intro, I get to drop my Tacoma and 89' GT for something new. Now I wasn't one of the early lovers of the S550 but it has grown on me...
  15. Introduction

Hey everyone, just wanted to introduce myself before posting. I'm a long time member over at Corral and long time market stalker over at Svtperformance. Your forum seems to be much more heavily involved with S550's, so that's why I'm here! But more on that in my next post. I currently own a...
