For all you guys trying to figure out how to remove the oil filter without getting oil on everything, I found the answer. :gossip:

If you don't want to make a mess get one of these "Form a Funnel"

Stuff it up under the filter

Shape it into a funnel that fits.

I just let it spill all over my driveway and then bathe in it, but then I found form a funnel and it changed my life... Thanks OP!
Seriously though, that's awesome, I can use it for other things as well.

On my S197 I would just take a gallon ziplock bag open and put around the filter (loosen it a bit first do you can hand unscrew it) and unscrew the filter in the bag. Catches all of the oil with minimal dripping.

I've been using the ol' method of not giving a f**k, nobody's looking under there but me.

Any of you guys got the famous tick or knock on the drivers side bottom after an oil change? Sorry, don't mean to hijack the thread but it seems to be directly related

I have the knocking sound but you already knew that.
