The reason a lot of places offer a 3G Dongle is I believe the frequencies used in China are different than here in the US. While you CAN look for a 4G dongle, I highly recommend talking to your Cell provider about a hotspot. I picked up an Alcatel WiFi 4GLTE Hotspot from T-Mobile for free, as long as I keep the $10/month data plan on it for 2 years, or I can buy the unit outright for $75. it's battery powered, and charges off USB, and is smaller than a pack of smokes. I used 3M tape to stick it under the armrest console for easy access- AND it has a MicroSD slot I can use for additional storage on the unit when plugged in USB.Lovely!
So next big upgrade for me is going to be a sim card.
Any idea if there is some special 3g dongle that will interface with this thing (lots of empty ports in the back) or if its USB only?
I also found that if you put it into Mustang Hi it stops mucking with the AC when you hit the mode button. Hopefully that means we can use the as built data to change it to a premium with drive modes.
As for the Mustang Hi setting, just gotta reiterate, put it back on Mustang before you burn something up. If you don't have a Premium, leave it on "Mustang."
