Thanks for checking, and heads up to any others to look out for that. I recall another user posting that they had a rogue screw jiggling around. Loctite will do a fine job, or even super glue. I just love tearing my dash apart, lol.

BTW. I went into advanced today and enabled RDS. That still didn't allow radio track titles to display.

Also found the armrest USB will play from my 64gb thumb drive, its super slow and I cant browse the file directory. I enabled OTG and it made no difference.

Anyone know if Google maps can be downloaded and used offline on this unit?

In the settings menu, go to advanced. The code I got from Patrick's video was 8861. Then enable OTG.

Yes you can use Google maps offline. I used to do it before. You can download section (or the whole state) directly to your device. It will expire every 30 days (It'll auto update the map every 30 days if you have internet linked to it).

I believe to get the HD Radio we need to modify the As-Built Data...

Enable HD Radio ("Might" require an APIM swap):
7D0-01-01 xxxx xxx2 xxxx (disabled)
7D0-01-01 xxxx xxx3 xxxx (enabled)

The base radio displays artist/track info by default. Since this unit has its own programming and the antenna hooks directly into the brain, the ability would lie within the unit itself.

Whenever you get yours hooked up, give it a shot though. C'mon ya slowpoke!

Did anyone else have a loose screw floating around when they got their unit? I did, and it was one to hold one of the screens corners down. I screwed it in, but it must have popped back out and has broken threads, my screen pushes in when touched. I'm sure it'll rattle like hell, so I'll be taking it a part again to deteine a fix.

I had the same issue. I switched screws out on a different corner and they both fit. No issues after.

Once you have the IMG file on a USB drive, just plug in the USB drive with the unit powered on, and wait. It will prompt you to install it.
