Tried the color change from the F150 sheet at 7D0-03-01 from my as built xxxx 0101 xxxx to xxxx x0x2 xxxx. Yes the colors change on the bottom icon bar active screen (phone, climate, settings, etc...) like the pic here shows but now when powering down I lost the Pony and in its place is the black background Ford oval logo. Power up is still the pony. Not a big deal, just worth noting.

Volume overlay circle and track progress bar are also changed to match.

Just wondering - should the spread sheet have these additional columns:

Vehicle Year
Transmission (auto vs manual)
SYNC3 vs. SYNC2

Because it seems some As Built features will work for some S550 owners but not others depending on those other categories.

I don't like having these columns as it's ugly as fuck

Good thought. I'll try it later, but the Ford oval on power down is still OK. If it was some kind of joke and had an Escort or Pinto logo I'd totally keep it!

The timeout has to do with how long the 12v tap has power after the car is shut off.

I was working from an idea on another forum. There was speculation that changing 0100 to 0000 would be "never times out".

I'd love to see the difference between the Sync/MFT Startup Animation (Mustang Pony) and Sync/MFT Startup Animation (Mustang Pony, GT). Is it just the Tri-bar pony vs the normal pony?

• BCM 726-16-02 x1x1 x1x1 0049 enables DRL Option in Settings -> Vehicle -> Lighting
• BCM 726-50-01 The magic place. Somebody willing to try 256 values?

If this trial&error for one byte does not succeed we might still have a chance as in 726-16-02 DRL options are set as control clusters. Probably setting x1x1 x1x1 00 sets clusters which are not available and that's why writing 726-50-01 keeps being impossible. We could try setting different cluster combinations where 0=disabled, 1=enabled, 2=n/a resulting in xVxW xXxY xZ where V=cluster 1, W=cluster 2, ... Z=cluster 5.
This is just a desperate idea but maybe our IDS guys could spot more light on the cluster thing.

Two things I really miss that my ATS has:

1. Automatic door lock a few seconds after leaving the car. When switching back and forth I have forgot to lock the Mustang a few times until I'm almost out of fob button range.

2. Cruise doesn't resume automatically after shifting the manual transmission in the Mustang. That degrades the usefulness of Adaptive Cruise. Having to re-position your hand on the wheel after every shift to press resume (and not another button) makes Adaptive Cruise much less useful in slow and go freeway situations that require several different transmission gears.

Any chance either can be fixed?

So, I went through the process on the other site and I got my navigation license file. I set 7D0-01-02 to 04xx xxxx xxxx like the instructions said and my screen now says "Insert Nav SD Card".

Navigation license file? What other site are you referring to? That'd be awesome if we could turn navigation on for cheaper than the existing $800 modules

I think you missed the part about adaptive cruise. The reason you are going 15 is because the car in front of you is and so adaptive cruise slowed you down from 90 to 15 to keep from running into him. So when you let out the clutch after selecting the proper gear, your car isn't going to go any faster. It will just be in a gear that isn't lugging the engine and will let it speed up as the car in front does.

Yeah, I paid the guy in Moscow through PayPal and within 12hrs I had the license file. I also ordered an A7 US/Canada Maps SD card from eBay. So, along with the OBDLink MX, the car now has navigation and it works perfect. :cheers:

BTW, the OBLink MX Bluetooth works with a Windows 10 MacBook Pro and the Bluetooth drivers built into BootCamp. If anyone else has gone that route...

But your S550 is Pre-SYNC3 - and the same mod probably will not work on the 2016+ that has SYNC3 - isn't that correct?

Just curious too, where is the SD card slot?
