I noticed something (which I don't recall ever seeing on my '11). The dealer was not able to get the TPMS sensors, so I have the snow tires/wheels on without 'em. It was fine, no alerts/alarms until like a few days later. Then it alarmed once, and hasn't alarmed since. Its been about 2 weeks.

The regular tires with TPMS are sitting nearby in the garage, but we have been away for youth hockey every weekend since I got them mounted, and not a peep out of the sensors after I pressed OK to clear the alert the one time.

On my 350Z the TPMS warning only comes on after about 25 miles when I run my race tires (no sensors on those wheels). So, maybe it's something similar on the Mustang. If you go on a longer drive the warning might come back.

That makes sense, I'll keep an eye on it. It must be at least 60+ miles on the stang (travel hockey game this past weekend :))

Work has been crazy-go-nuts, and we are in the middle of hockey season, but I finally got the winter skids transferred to the America Muscle MMD Zeven Wheels. Quite a bit different look on Guard, and i can protect my stock rims from the elements. :)
Well done, "Z".:headbang:

Happy birthday to Zombie. I hope it likes its presents. I'm getting her detailed inside and out, and getting Roush axle-backs put on to "wake her up" a bit... long time coming.

I hope it's okay if we "zombie" an ownership thread with updates.

17,500 miles thus far. Daily driver including winter. I don't baby the car, and it's held up for the most part, and I still love driving it.

Zombie now has a new set of (ahem) rear skids. I just kept with the stock P Zeros. After I almost killed myself a few weeks ago in the wet, via hydroplaning in a nasty storm, I realized I was pushing it tread-wise.

Issues since last update.

  1. Passenger side wheel bearing went out. Replaced under warranty. Started to hear a slight clunk sound every so often, then it became an obvious rubbing noise. I think I heard it on the other side yesterday. Stay tuned. ;)
  2. Rear brakes are glazed, so they squeal a teeny bit now, depending on temp and use. Mostly annoying more than anything else.
  3. The recall on the passenger door latch.

Still love it! :ford:

I think that clunk noise you heard is what I am hearing. Under what circumstances did you experience it? I hear something after the car has been sitting for awhile and usually only at low speeds when I apply the brakes. I'm over 36000 miles now so I get to pay for the privilege of repair :-)

The best way to desribe it was a "chunk" or "clink", and only at low speeds (really noticeable backing out of driveway.) I didn't notice it at braking.

Then it because a grinding noise that was periodic, then on the drive to the dealer it was non stop. Perfect timing.

Update on Zombie.

I am now hearing that "clink/tink" on the driver side rear. Its very slight this time, like a small hammer hitting a piece of steel. Sounds like a second wheel bearing is going bad. I don't hear it all the time, but it's usually when starting to roll.

Sure would have been nice if they failed at the same time :headbonk:
