Since a lot of the common questions have been asked - how about the lights? I've had some oem hid's that were hardly better than 80's halogen lights and some that absolutely phenomenal. How do these fare? And are the foglights actually useful or just eye candy?

I'm starting to worry about you, body panels are meant to flex, just like your plane. Yep, I was a Crew Chief by AFSC for 30 yrs. If panels didn't have any flex in them, the metal would buckle. I looked at the lines on his car from several angles and they appear to be very close. You won't get perfection and if that is what you expect, you're better off building your own. When I moved into flight chief and above positions, I worked at a very large body shop to keep up my mechanical skills. We put brand new cars on a car-o-liner frame rack from local dealers, due to carrier damage from being tied too tight. What you see is pictures is mostly optical illusion, but if want, there are always nits to pick. I'll bet you a steak dinner I can find 25 gigs or more on your car in less than 30 minutes. Cars are mechanical and you can't show me a perfect version, I don't care what manufacturer you choose. Let the guy enjoy his car. MC
Well, yes body panels are supposed to flex. And I agree the alignment is generally very good (I already mentioned to him the area around the headlights, while IMO not perfect, is aligned very well to the point I wouldn't worry about it). There is an acceptable level of things being off, However his hood is definitely raised more than it should be, and appears to maybe be caused from traveling with the broken hood latch he had. Not everything is an optical illusion, you can see the hood raised in just about every picture in the same area no matter the angle. If you follow my posts on the issue I expressed that if he didn't notice and wasn't concerned with any of my nitpicking I would leave it alone. I'm not trying to run on his parade at all and why I didn't specify anything that I saw initially. When I PM'd him about this I strictly said it could easily be photo trickery. He has verified, while the pictures exaggerate the discrepancy, the discrepancies are still there.

Mustangchief, I know you love the Mustang more than most do. But not every car we get from the Factory is as it should be when we get the car. Not every issue should be ignored, again some should be acceptable but not all. And very much so you can't compare a car that hasn't received very much stress, to an airplane with 20,000+ hours on it. Granted like I said before he had a minor mechanical issue when he received the car, it is very possible it didn't leave the factory with these minor discrepancies.

While in this particular instance Z may not worry about it in the end since it appears to not be as much of an issue IRL. And that's fine, I'm only responding when he posts about it. For me, I know if someone saw something that didn't look quite right, I'd want it brought to my attention.

Edit: And no way would I ever build my own car, at least nothing for looks, as i am far too nit picky and not skilled enough to get it done the way I would want it with any sort of expediency. I would however like to build an open wheeled track toy. Preferably mid engined and either based off the Mk1 focus, miata, or MR-S

That hood misalignment at the front might be able to be fixed with a couple turns of a rubber bumper under the hood on each side. Looks pretty minor.

Slightly random question for you Zombie. I noticed your garage has double single doors (like my garage). Did you have to fold the mirrors to pull the car in? I know they made the S550 wider so I'm mildly concerned about it. I did measurements and know it should fit but wouldn't mind hearing how much space you had between the mirrors and side of the garage door.

Behind the behemoth you can see my garage. Its a standard single car door and with the mirrors on my Challenger extended I have about an inch on each mirror. I think the 2015 Mustang with mirrors is about 4 inchs smaller then the challenger so you'll probably have about 3 inches on each side.

Ok cool. I figured it was fine due to my measurements and stuff but I wanted to make sure. I still wish my house just had the single double door garage as opposed to two single doors...

Thanks Brent.

Wish I had a better pic. I just picked up my LG G3 and it was my only pic with the garage in it. Lol

Trust me I went into panic mode when I saw the Mustang was wider so I ran out and measured the Challenger mirror to mirror and sighed a sigh of relief discovering the Challenger was still a big ol fatty lol. Glad I could help.

I didn't notice any difference between the '15 and my '11 (Which had HIDS option from the factory.) The taillights seemed much brighter, and actually all of the LED exterior lighting very "crisp" and brighter than I expected.

Its very minor, and easier to notice in photos. I'm waiting for someone to comment on it in person. I'm going to take a hard look at the bumpers this weekend, and see if I can do just that.

No issues. It wasn't a problem, and much less of an issue compared to the '95 Impala SS I had when I moved into the house in '99. It seemed close to the '11, and from a length standpoint I never moved the wheel stop guide, and I didn't hit anything. :D

If Brent can fit that beast above in the garage, the S550 should not be an issue. :)

I did notice that the farthest extending contact point for the door is about 2-3" above the '11, so I will need to move the plastic garage wall bumper plate up.

Mechnical:

Snow tires and different set of rims. I'll probably use the RTRs I pulled off the '11 if the offset is okay
Cat-back exhaust, waiting to see what Roush comes out with.
Roush Supercharger (maybe)

Visual:

Window tint
Matte black or black chrome Pony logo, 5.0 badges, and GT Badge
Matte black or black chrome exhaust tips
M6G static sticker :D

Nice. I really liked the Roush Stage 3 Exhaust sounds (I think it's the same exhaust no matter what, but I dunno) Sounded wicked, plus I liked how the tips were kind of squared off to fill out the back. However, I've kinda nixed the idea of going with Roush, as I've listened to a few Bassani's, Borla S-types and the corsa's and I prefer the way they sound. I think borla and bassani are my top two. I'll have to wait and see what they come out with for the s550. I'm also interested in what SW will have to offer. Not a big fan of the quad exhaust tips on the s197, pretty sure those feelings will hold true for the s550 as well. Surprisingly I like quad tips on the back of an STI more than I do a mustang lol

I'm the same way, the quad's on the Roush didn't do anything for me.

It's kinda strange, I don't want loud, but I also don't want to see the muffler poking out from under/behind the diffuser.

I think I have to decide what's more important. The look or the sound. The more I listen to the Gibson video, the more I think I could live with something like that.
