So 11.5 with the A10 in magazine testing. Not bad, but I suspect a lot of ZL1 fanatics were hoping for better times out of the A10 transmission.
so it barely beat the old GT500.it seems like it would be a drivers race to me,so i would guess a manual in the zl1 wouldnt beat the old GT500.seens about right.when the next COBRA comes,the zl1 will get destroyed!!!:lol::cheers:

Hey the ZL1 is impressive, gonna be reeeeeel interesting to see how the Blue Oval responds with upcoming GT500.

Ruby red 2019 GT Premium.
Hopefully they'll take the GT350 underpinnings. With 750hp worth of supercharger sitting on top. It'll get the same analogy as the ZL1 vs 1LE just got. But it'll out run the ZL1 and Hellcat in a straight line.

I do believe Raj said the GT350 had "good bones"

I'm pretty sure that was his subtle way of indicating that it's a very good foundation for future HiPo models.

For the Blue Oval faithful, lets's hope so. Ford needs to respond and respond in such a way that there is no doubt that the GT500 is the better car of the two. Tall order to fill as the new ZL1 has raised the overall performance bar....

Although in the real world a previous model GT500 will be so close in performance as to be nearly identical or possibly winning. The performance edge for the ZL-1 in a straight line is very subtle if any at all. If the GT500 has aftermarket tires - and most will by now - the GT500 could be much quicker than a ZL-1 straight off the dealer lot.

Yes but the last GT500 is at a disadvantage with the ZL1s new A10. Now M6 to M6 I would call it a drivers race all day....

In a straight line, the 500 has an advantage. Everywhere else is the Z, and it should since it's on an all new platform.

This is true Hack, 1/4 mile performance from the last GT500 is on par or better than the current ZL1. Hopefully with the suspension from the GT350 and better tires as you suggest we should have a good ole-fashioned factory war between the Blue Oval & the bow tie (all lower case) :ford:

Just out of curiosity where is the advantage? Especially if a 13-14 GT500 lines up against an A10 ZL1?

A10 is different. I was talking more about the M6s. The power is more in the 500, so I give it the advantage in a pure straight line M6 to M6. A10-M6 is going to be advantage camaro. Everywhere else, the camaro is the better performer no doubt.
