Better to wait until after clear film is done before installing the front splitter? Planning going pretty much straight from delivery to xpel - learned my lesson after a nasty chip on the hood from a rock with less than 500 miles on a previous car...

Also how much clearance is gained going from the R to non R splitter? Little nervous about my driveway - was able to angle a Nissan GTR up without scraping but I'm worried about the 350R. Not my first choice to do this but might be necessary until I move.

Thanks!

I waited after I got my clear film put on so he could run the film down under where the splitter go's hope this helps you, that's just what I wanted to do for my car, every one has there own choice of doing things. :ford:

^^^ What he said. My installer asked me if I had installed mine yet and was pleased when I said no. Get it done before.

Don't sweat it, my clear bra was installed after the splitter was installed by the dealership and they were able to get it all the way underneath without a problem. You couldn't tell where they cut it since it's so close to the splitter.

Since the splitter is just a plastic part why not try it with it on and then replace it when you move if it gets scuffed up? Either way you're out money buying a base splitter or an R replacement. It's an R and it looks better with the more aggressive front splitter.

Now if you can't make it up your driveway with 1 on vs. the other that's a different story.
