Excellent news:D:D:D

I have a local place that can "ensure" my car passes too:D

In fact I nearly went for the 100 cell from streetfighter, but then decided I'd go with the 200, in an attempt to get through legitimately...
Maybe a mistake if it still struggles, but I've made my choice, so I have to go with it....

Glad it's not just me with the SCT:lol::lol:

Let me know if you get it sorted:thumbsup:
Did the 100/200 thing make any difference to the price from SF (obviously there's an extra cost to get them fitted when they arrive)?

I've just sent them a pm with a few questions.

They quoted me $520 for the originals, which would just bolt up to my Borla:)

The 200's were $640 just to supply with flanges, gaskets, and Co2 sensor bosses...

With hindsight I probably should have just gone with their standard set up, and then fit 200 cell cats in, in a couple of years.... live and learn..:D

Awesome news!

So as I'm going for the 100 cats, these will be a straight  swap onto my Borla catback with no extra faffing about.

I've asked about applying wrap over the top of the coating as would be nice to reeeeally get those under bonnet temps down as much as possible.

No real need to wrap a ceramic coating it really works wonders.

I know there's no real NEED, but if it helps just a little I may as well while they're already off the car.
Who's doing the header fitting:shrug::headbonk::D

Take a photo of the year of it and post the picture up mate. I wonder if some UK cars are like Australian cars where the ECU had no strategy making them near impossible to tune. Don't worry I believe it is indeed fixable! :)

What is the strategy on your ECU?

Your baseline dyno run, was that stock air box or Roush CAI?

Make sure you do the following:

Download SCT Livewire II to a Windows laptop / PC:
https://az824306.vo.msecnd.net/software/LiveLink_Gen-II_2616.exe

Down SCT updating software to a Windows laptop / PC:
https://az824306.vo.msecnd.net/software/SCTDeviceUpdater.exe

Load the updating software, connect the SCT X4 and first make sure it installs the device drivers and recognises the unit correctly on the laptop / computer.

If it fails to install, then download the following, place in a folder on desktop and point the device driver install to that folder:
32-bit OS:
https://az824306.vo.msecnd.net/software/32BitDrivers.zip

64-bit OS:
https://az824306.vo.msecnd.net/software/64BitDrivers.zip

Then re-run the updater, let it do all the updates. Once done, restart PC and run the updater again as it will still no doubt have more updating to do. You might have to do this a few times before it realises it is fully upto date.

Also then load SCT Livewire II and let it do updates, once done re-load the device updater and check for updates, see if it does any more.

You then need to email your tuner your SCT X4 serial and type which is on the rear sticker on the X4. They will also need your ECU strategy code, which is on the label on the cars ECU just below the fuse box, should be a sticker with continental on it and then a 4 or 3 digit code like NHH1 for example. This will allow them to make the tune support your vehicle. Once they send you this tune file open the SCT updater, load the custom tune file to the device and then go and flash your car, it will backup the stock file and do the flash.

That is the procedure. :)

If this fails you are welcome to bring your car, laptop and X4 to my work or home and I can see if I have any better luck for you. :)
