They have a deep tone to them versus others. The rest of the setup will really determine the overall sound/drone/rasp.
For a stock replacement, it's going to give just enough to enjoy without being overpowering. I see in your profile you have a ROUSH so i can say if you are just replacing the axleback, The tip portion may be an issue though with it coming with Quads. But for sound, it will be deeper due to it being a chambered muffler.

I have the xforce varex and its a fantastic system I love it. Dont run it full throttle while closed though, too much backpressure.

If you dont have cats, or want reasonable cold starts, I would get the active system. Cold starts with the valves open without cats are insane on this system.
