Xcal 4 error code

So I got a xcal 4, no custom tune yet. I figured I'd plug it in and see what the crappy canned tunes were. Well...... All I get are ERROR 110AE codes when you select "load tune"

I've updated all the software via SCT website, everything says up to date but I still get the update needed error 110ae code. WTF?

[MENTION=10926]beefcake[/MENTION], I know you had a identical issue with a customer with a Lund tune that he got working. Any ideas on where to start. I'd hate to spend $200 for a custom tune that my car wont load. :/

X4s always need updating after first plugging in to match the vehicle

If a custom tune was ordered that will come via email within a couple days and will be emailed with instructions

I did update it fully using the sct downloader software. Are you saying something different?

Sometimes you have to talk nice to it. Update it via wifi, then plug it into your laptop and push updates, and then wifi again, then to the car, then back to your computer.

Eventually after enough updates it'll take.

Just spent an hour doing this.... nadda. Mild cardio at best lol. Still getting error code.

Sct figured it out in 5mins. Hooked me up! Now just need a custom tune. I did load up the 93oct JLT canned tune and I must say it runs amazing!! Did not expect much with a canned tune.
