I just had a sr performace x pipe installed. Before I just had two straight pipes coming off the cats from the headers. The car is much quieter now, it does not sound nearly as good as it did and has some drone around 1700-1800rpm. It should be better flowing though I think. Might need to get an actual axell back now instead of the cheap flowmaster mufflers. It kind of sounds like a have a playing card in my bicycle spokes.

You can always do a J pipe.

I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and go with awe touring catback. Oh well it was worth a try with the xpipe but a waste of $120.

I went from an electric cutout setup (essentially straight pipes) to an H-Pipe muffler delete setup. The sound and tone of a straight pipe setup is much closer to an H-Pipe than a X-Pipe. The H-Pipe cleaned out all of the roughness in mid and high rpm range while not changing the deepness of the tone. With the X-Pipe, it'll change the tone to a higher pitch whine.

While I loved the single chamber flowmasters, I don't think they sound good with the Coyote from the videos I've heard. It could also be video recorders don't pick up the sound well.

The single chamber sounded great to me with the straight pipes off the cats. I think I will like the H pipe exhaust better than an xpipe for sure. It definitely ruined the single chamber set up.

H pipe is way better. Had an x pipe system before than i went to h pipe set up. Sounds like a v8 with an h. X sounded ricey or "exotic" lol.

We'll call it "exotic" so we don't hurt any feelings.

I like the racecar sound of the X. To each their own. The H-pipe systems sound great down low but are missing something to me on the top end. It's nice that we have so many choices for different tastes.

It definitely is leaking so that is causing it to sound worse than it probably would normally. I feel like it needs to be welded to properly seal, the clamps they provide did not really work well. Now that is so quiet I can hear the gt350 intake though which I could not before with the double straight pipes. I would much rather hear overpowering exhaust drowning it out though. Anyway just going to rip it off this upcoming weekend, hopefully awe touring has better clamps and seals everything properly. If not I'll get it welded.
