My cars up for tax and insurance renewal end of the month, the issue is I've been ill for the last 6-8 months and have rarely driven it, so I'm considering holding off for a few months. My tax renewals are always just before the annual price hikes, so my tax renewal will be £735. How much will the renewal be on a 2016 GT after April ?

at 65quid a month if you pay Direct Debit it might be worth SORNing it while you can't drive. I did see a comparison chart previous but my google skills have failed me tonight.
I hope your ills are behind you and you're on the way back to full and rude health.

edit: found it on CINCH ffs - up 25quid for the year so youd be cheaper sorning while you know youre not driving it.
Confirmed car tax changes from 1 April 2025 - cinch

£760 is not too bad, the media made it sound like tax increases this year were going to be horrific.

I've got more blood test results due end of this week, so hopefully know more then.

It's a lot especially if you're not using the car. Hope the bloods come out good or at least better than before

I SORN my car once the salt appears, and re tax it once it’s gone - I would rather have that money in my pocket and not theirs …

When it drops into the cheap tax band I might leave it taxed (but being a tight arse, probably not … lol)

@GR11M - I hope everything works out OK for you :like:
