One day last week when I started the car first thing in the morning, the wipers didn't work on the lower speeds, and the mist function and washers were inoperable as well. I was able to clear the windshield with the wipers on high speed.

I kept trying them periodically (mostly because I was in disbelief that such a basic and vital component could take a shit on a brand new car), and normal operations resumed after about 10 minutes of driving.

It really concerns me that they could fail again while I am driving. Has anyone else had this issue?

Note: I have the base model; it does not have rain sensing wipers.

If its your washer fluid not working, did you put hood struts on your car. If so your line is getting pinched with hood closed. try open hood then try washer fluid. just move line from behind hood strut.

Just wanted to report I had the exact same issue today at lunch. Wipers would only work at high speed for the first few minutes of driving. Very annoying problem. Did this ever happen again to you icarumba?

I am about to get my tuner in the mail today so I would like to resolve this if it's a computer issue before I tune lol

Fortunately it only happened once. Then I lemoned that one and got a 2016. So far the 2016 has not done it.

Ah, well the lemon part is not that reassuring, thanks for the follow up though!

Let’s get this escalated for you, six_shooter. Please make an appointment with your Ford Dealer to get it checked out as soon as possible. Also, PM me with your dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number.
