Windsor 6.8 liter for the s-550/ s-650, either way, it's going to be the Clydesdale in size and power of the Mustang engine Stable.

It's been confirmed guys we are getting a new 6.8-liter pushrod engine for the Mustang and F-150. 414 Cubic inches of raw hp and torque. It's going to be based on the current 7.3 liter but de-stroked to 6.8 liters. Word is that Prochager is already finalizing a kit for the current 7.3 which will likely transfer over to the 6.8. My question is the black material? Cast iron or aluminum. I'm thinking both, Aluminum for the Mustang and cast iron for the f-150. The mustang motor will likely be in the neighborhood of about 525 crank hp and 485 ft-lbs of torque. Na builds could top 650 crank hp.. I'm salivating at the possibilities! So Guys, are you gonna swap the 7.3 into your current stang or trade it in for a new 2022 s-550-/ s-650? Also is this the end of the Coyote motor? Chime in and tell me what you think.

Isn't there sources saying the 6.8 Mustang motor is a misquote ?

go to 5:54 of this video

Derivatives just mean that the 6.8 motors for the mustang will be different from the motor for the f-150. Differences in compression possibly, intake manifolds, cast iron blocks, or aluminum blocks. one motor will be truck-centric in regards to power and torque. The mustang 6.8 will be performance-oriented. The current coyote has a couple of derivatives when you compare the current f-150 5.0 and the mustang 5.0...

I’ll tune back in when Ford makes an official announcement.

My reference is to the 6.8 in the 2022 production Mustang.
I’ll check back when Ford makes the official announcement and then I’ll eat crow.

Sorry no new engine just hybrid technology being added. Why install a bigger engine and get worse mileage if you can install a electric motor and increase mileage?

The 6.8 is the base engine for super duties now, IIRC
