got the covercraft thinking it would work like my BMW one...

it fit awesome between the dash and windshield and held itself up when you inserted it into place, not needing to use the visors.

wish I found this thread first because it kinda sucks to pay 50 bucks for one I'll have to use the visors with anyways

Has anyone used the Covercraft one with a mirror mounted radar detector? I have my V1 mounted to the rear view and a dash cam behind the mirror.

On my S197, I had a covercraft sunshade and it would not worth with my mirror mounted radar detector.

For my 2015, I have the same radar detector setup and had to buy a Heatshield store sunshade. It works great and I can leave my radar detector mounted with it

Flash-forward 2.5 years later. Just received a Covercraft "50 Years" shade for a 2018 GT. Fit is a little tight horizontally and just barely clears the mirror going in. Requires visors to be down. A little bit of a wait (ordered 2/11, received 2/28) as each order is custom.

Covercraft all the way. I bought mine 2.5 years ago. It is a sturdy as it was when new. The fit is excellent. When it arrived I was super impressed with the thickness of this thing and it makes a big difference in the amount of interior heat after sitting in the sun. It’s a little awkward to take down if you have a passenger in the car, so I make sure I pull it down quickly before anyone enters. With no passenger it comes down quickly and is behind the passenger seat in no time. Expensive but 2.5 years later and it’s as good as new I’d say it’s really not that pricey.

A couple years in... I've had my Covercraft sun shade for four summers and all I can say is... worth every penny. Not a single complaint in any way, shape, or form.

I have Heatshieldstore.com on my 2016 Gt in "all" the windows and the fit is great and it keeps all the sun out.

I have a question. The heat shield is $50 and the covercraft is $120. Is the extra cost worth it over the heat shield. I don't mind spending more if I'm getting a better product.
