Anybody else had to have their windscreen replaced yet? I got two stone chips in mine back in late Feb and one instantly split the entire screen in half

It's taken a VERY long time for autoglass to get a screen because Ford didn't have any in the country...

Is it me or did Ford just not bother bringing any parts at all over for these cars?

finally getting the new one fitted next Monday with any luck... but knowing autoglass I won't be holding my breath

I say autoglass is talking BS!! They tried to pull the same stunt with my mum's car which is a Vauxhall Adam and thought they would try it because she is a woman....well they picked on the wrong woman and it was soon escalated to the manager and sorted. When they fitter come out he was saying that he is looking to work else where because they have shut a lot of the warehouses down and have to cover a greater area.

To be fair I tried the source the glass directly from Ford (a massive 1150 quid before VAT) and they gave me the exact same lead time as Autoglass as they had none in the UK

It does strike me that getting parts for these officially imports will be just as hard as looking after your LHD import.

Shame as I was always worried about if I had to get a part, like a wing mirror on my LHD so was greatly relieved when they decided to officially import the car in RHD.

Given the price of the parts it's understandable Ford don't want to spend the money bringing them over "before" they're required, after all the majority of parts will be insurance or warranty related (£££ loss to Ford)
However, they should have maybe had a central store of a few bigger parts (bumpers, windscreens for instance) so dealers can call upon them when required. Dealer told me 8 week back order for my new bumper .... the Mustang team at Ford who are dealing with it said their internal parts team say a few days.
