Tweezy7 UnitedSolar. I've been using them for years for tint & vinyl work. They have 2 shops, I go to the one on the West End. Cleanest automotive shop i've ever been in too. If you're interested give them a call. I used the top tier tint so it's a little more pricey over the standard series. I will be going there shortly to get the roof wrapped.wireeater Wow the 35% came out great! What shop did you go to ?
What % tint is that? I have an Ingot 16 and am about to get mine done..35% id the legal limit in TN, but may go darker and just take the risk. Thanks in advance! It's in the 110 degree range every day this week here in Vegas, so I couldn't wait another minute to get the car tinted. I went with a Nanotech tint from Solar-guard. It has amazing, and I mean amazing heat rejection. You can't feel any heat coming though the window, and due to this my AC barely has to work anymore. I decided against getting the front window tinted and instead got a glare strip across the top windshield. I'm not sure I like the glare strip though. It's so dark that it reduces my field of vision. It does however help with the sun, and make the car feel like a cockpit. Anyway, let me know what you guys think!
How do you like 70% windshield? This is Skye, back from tint.
30% sides and back, ceramic. Legal in CO.
70% windshield, the entire windshield, ceramic. Illegal in CO (should only be top four inches).
Zero adjustment. Just get in and drive. Pics are in full light. In the garage, it's definitely darker, but you can still see inside; it's not completely blacked out.
Ceramic is one of the latest generations of tint. No issues with any electronics, including radio, satellite or cell.
Being more well-versed on the topic and using it myself, it's clear I'm one of the few people in CO with legal or even semi-legal tint. LOL. These photos are in full light. In the shade things change. But it's clear on the street many are running much lower VLT than this.
One trend picking up is doing the entire windshield.
Another trend I've noticed, with SUVs in-particular, is using legal on the front sides, but then privacy tint on the rest all the way back.

Overall I'm glad I followed the advice of the tint/PPF shop and got it. Yes, I'd do it again. How do you like 70% windshield?
I did 50% Ceramic on my windshield in my daily driver and 20% on the sides. I do agree the heat rejection is amazing and seing out is not a problem, even at night especially with good LED headlights. I didn't do tint on the windshield on my Mustang as it isn't a daily for me..Overall I'm glad I followed the advice of the tint/PPF shop and got it. Yes, I'd do it again.
Visually, I don't notice that much of a difference from stock. In pictures it's clearly darker, but the sides and back are already reducing light and affecting how it appears on the car overall.
Only drove it back from the shop yesterday, but in that drive, I did notice the searing feeling I often experienced through the front windshield no longer applied.
My Tacoma is bone stock. In the garage, I can see the 80% tint on the windows, including the windshield. Looking over at Skye, there is not a significant difference. It's different, but not in an off-putting way.
If you or anyone is on the fence, something to consider...check into shops and get quotes. See if they have a junk piece of 70%, like a strip or something, you can just stick on the inside, like a demo, a piece of tape. Over a few days you'll see (no pun intended) if its something worth installing.
