Very weird. If you look at the screenshot I sent you it shows your axel code as YY. Weird that the sticker says differently.

Looks like there is a ton of confusion online about Mustangs and their diff gears. Both American Muscle and LMR have the s550 gears wrong. LMR shows that no s550 came with 3.15 gears (which is wrong) and American Muscle shows that only the V6 came with 3.15 gears which is wrong. I know for a fact since my car has 3.15 gears that the 15-17 Mustang GT with the 6r80, 3.15 diff was the standard diff, not 3.31.

Very weird all around but I would say your car has the 3.15 gears.

It’s def a 315 car and drives like one as well…a lot of getting around to it rather than the quick rpm of a 355 or 373 car
