A normal summer tire won't crack. If you go to cup 2s, or trofeo R, maybe randomly, but no. You shouldn't have a problem on a normal summer tire, 350-200 treadwear just driving it in the cold.

Well if that's the case there are many sizes and brands to choose from...
Anybody have a counter point on using a summer tire in the cold in dry conditions?

if your going to drive even in high 30s or mid 40s dont get summers i did and there in the garage as3s are awesome and they grip well in low temps..i mean not crazy driving but they do well .. and there nice when they heat up .. only takes one cold snap for a few weeks and summer tires are done
if your gunna run a 19x9 front rim you can do a 275/35.. or a 255/40 and youll be fine .im running the 285/40 rear and a 275/35 front on staggered pp rims . 19x9 front 19x9.5 rear.. and dont have one issue at all with abs or trac control

I was hoping to keep the 19x8.5s up front with 255/40s, which are stock. Out back, widen 2 CS rims to match my tire of choice as to the width.
If not, new rims and tires all around.
So I'm hearing both...use summers and all seasons.

just get all seasons and be done youll be better off .. imo .. so just run 255/40 front and a 285/40. or a 305/35 rear you would need at least a 10 inch wide rim to run a 305.. guys do a 305/35 on a 9.5 but it will buldge a bit .. which will get sloppy on cornering

this spring i might get a set of am pp reps for the rear and run a 305/35 just for spring and summer other then that im as3,s all the way
