1. You need to A. Shut off youtube. B. there are more than 2 in the 8s. Show me which 2 you are talking about unless I missed it.
2. Talking about cars in the 8s but then go well gen3 short blocks are 1800 dollars.....

Midnight isnt the only one in the 8s. There is a whipple one and PBD has tuned a few that run 8s too iirc.

#2. A 1800 stock replacement isnt a good idea for trying to run 8s. Not saying it cant be done but its going to need a build sleeved block to be repeatable.....

Sorry to but no other 18's are in the 8's. Anthony Ballard got close with a time right by mine, I believe a 9.05
Yes a stock replacement is 1800... send it to get sleeved and rods and pistons.. Really isn't that much.
If it isn't repeatable then explain how one shop has had two great results with multiple passes to back each one up?

its going to take a while. Remember how long it took 6r80's to run 9's without a fuck ton of power just thrown at them? there was also tons of them being blown up too lol. Give it time.

Time,.... it will take some time.

Parts development... (fuel systems, injectors, converters, etc)
Tuning parameters added...(literally half the tables weren't mapped for a while, if you used HPTuners)

Look how long it took the LT1/LT4 guys to break out of the 10's. Yet, now ProCharger F-1X LT-4s are going 7's.
I would guess 2019 will be a big year for these cars as the tracks start to open, and more people start hitting the track.

I know Chase one of the owners of SCT event is getting ready to attempt 8s here in a week or so with his 19' P1X car and a small shot of spray on top. It previously went 9.6 @ 147 boost only, Believe he just got the trans built with those Mcloud clutches and believe a Converter.. Should be an interesting year, Im shooting for 8s myself!

His car will be fun to watch. With a better launch, and proper shifting trans.... it will go 8's with the baby blower and no spray.
