Dealer rang me today to advise $72,500 driveaway for a 2018...

Tell me if i'm missing something;

62,990 base
2,646 stamp duty for vic
800 12months rego
$66,436 Total

That means dealer delivery of $6,064?

Unless the base price excludes GST of $6,299 which it can't since that's more than $72.5k overall without dealer delivery...

If dealer delivery was $2k like some of the other people in this thread mentioned then it's closer to $68.5k. Either way i'm finding it hard to justify $20k over a new 2017 despite all the cool extras and even interior tweaks. I'll probably just wait till next year i think.

Colours
For anyone interested. I was told today that in September the Triple Yellow and Lightening Blue will be dropped. There was no mention of new colours.

Ouch!

If you could do the wheels and suspension afterwards (for the same $) it will drop the LCT...

I am waiting for my sales person to return tomorrow to attempt to reduce price.
What I don’t understand is what transactions are included when calculating each of the 3 taxes as I believe I maybe paying tax on taxes.

I consider that the price drop on 17 mustangs was oversupply as buyers held off waiting for the 18. I am not so convinced that prices will drop so much on 18 models as it is likely that the A$ will weaken against the US$ with each US interest rate rise that occurs .....Time will tell.

You know what, you make a solid argument there.... but im going to stick to my gut... i reckon prices will drop... The only reason imo the mustang held its price for so long was because it was the first mustang in Aus...

Regardless i guess we will find out at the start of 2019... i hope they drop anyway that way i can freaking get one into my garage....

Question:
1) Have they fixed how the handbrake is on the bloody passenger side?????? Do we know? Thought i would ask anyways.
2) Do we get Drag Mode?
3) I wonder if we get the same gearing as the US!?
