Andy, what made you decide to go the CF route? I wonder what the weight advantage is over the reinforced plastic OEM fenders.

I think they save you about 10# per side. It all adds up. Throw in a hood and a lithium battery and you are almost saving 100#

The best way to buy it is on a black friday special. I use the antigravity atx20-hd battery. It is maximum weight savings for track use, etc. The 30-hd is more well rounded for street use.

Some people had problems with this battery only because they didn't understand how to use it. They would open the box, install it, and because the car didn't have its battery module reset, the car would not play nice. Buy a compatible lithium ion battery charger/maintainer, charge the battery up before you install, and you will have no issues installing a lithium battery in your car.

That one upgrade is the best bang for your buck in terms of weight reduction. Wheels is the next, and then body panels.

Its a shame AC had to be such (explicatives) when I did business with them. I would have been all in, but by principle that won't happen.

It's easy enough to google and see that the carbon fiber hood is ~20 lbs lighter per AC.

So I called Anderson Composites, 59 sets on backorder! Order today and I would have them in 16-20 weeks!

So much for inventory, more like custom orders!

I hear that the CF fenders don't do well in certain environments, so if you are regretting ordering a set of CF fenders, maybe we could make an arrangement to provide them a new home...
