Whipple Tune Update

I installed my Whipple stage 2 in late June. I called Whipple and asked to see is there was a tune update and there was one. One thing that Whipple mentioned, they reduced the pops and crackles on decel, which to me was a little annoying.

I just got done with my Stage2 install. Got the tune from Whipple about 2 weeks ago. Unless this new update is more recent that that, the car still sounds like it's making popcorn on decel.

You should find the original email that has the drop box link Whipple sent you and reply to it asking if there is an update. If you got the tune a few weeks ago, it's probably the newest one. You should try emailing, to make sure that yours is the most current one.

I haven't driven it since I flashed the ECU, so I don't know if it pops any different than the first tune.

The latest tune includes:

Less popping on deceleration

The latest transmission updates from Ford
Improved shift schedule
Improved spark calibration (safer)
Improved wot cam timing
And a bunch of small improvements

Really good tune up and all 2018+ owners should request it and update

Thanks for the details on what was updated. Do you know when this update was released? Or a way to check if this is the tune I'm already on?
Also, is there a way to keep an eye out for tune updates without having to email Whipple?
