Whipple Injector Swap

Is there a trick to swapping out the injectors on a Whipple kit without removing the blower?

There doesn't seem seem to be enough clearance on the right side.

Yep. I can't remember why, but I did something that made me want to retorque the SC unit bolts down again. It only took a couple minutes to get the fuel rails out of the way.

worked fine for what I needed them for. Probably will never used them again outside or these tough to reach blower bolts.

That's what I have and haven't had any issues with them. I don't see the point in paying double or triple the prices for things like sockets or bits. Power tools and pneumatics, I'll cough up the money for quality.

Don't blame you. Just having been a mechanic for the better part of a decade, if I'm going to break sockets, I'd rather it be the el cheapo's lol.

I just gave those a try and they stripped the bolts on the passenger side...any suggestions?

Harbor freight or lowes?

You can try tapping the next size up into the holes and see if there is enough meat for it to grab onto to get the bolt out.

Husky brand. Purchased at Home Depot.

They worked well for removing the bolts at a slight angle on the driver side. The bolts were on extremely tight and one even sparked when it broke free.

When it came to the passenger side, the steeper angle required to reach the bolts resulted in the bolts stripping as opposed to breaking free.

I'm not sure how you're doing it but the blower definitely does not need to come off. Maybe take a couple pictures of the angle you're going at it?
