Whipple in cooler temps. Any tires that can handle roll racing?

I have a whipple 10speed with the 17” MT street SS. Still spins on anything from 1-3 gear roll. And on a 3rd roll the 3-4 shift spins. With these cars 700 is about all the street can handle even on the best tire.
I'm about 700 and yeah 3rd gear is all I got on the PS4S but that's in summer weather. Winter isn't going to be the season of high horsepower joy lol at least with the nannies off.

air them down to 18. I’ve had several 900hp cars hook 1st or 2nd with SS/R’s. I do live in FL where it’s nice and toasty

I'm here to report back with some good news.

I've confirmed on my setup without boostane (low/mid 600rwhp on a mustang dyno) I can do 3rd gear pulls on AS4 315/35/20s and AdvanceTrac OFF. Temps in the 60s.

The car planted straight, though I was still a bit hesitant to stay committed to the top of 3rd lol. 4th and up absolutely no fear, grip was fine.

I want to see if I can roll into 2nd just for fun lol, imagine on all seasons.

I'll update this again as the temps drop.

Back with more news 😎

39F, Boostane, and DA almost -2000ft and I hooked around 60mph in 3rd gear no problem. Held it WOT for a couple gears and let off.

That was with AdvanceTrac completely off too.

These michelin all seasons are amazing lol. They aren't 1/4 mile tires but for some quick pulls from a roll they're perfect.

Edit: Did some more runs. 27F, -2350ft DA, Boostane, AdvanceTrac Off. 3rd gear no problems holding the power WOT. No ease-in needed, just slam the throttle and off you go.

Dude get some blizzaks on for sub 40 temps.

you’ll be surprised how hard siped winter tires can put down power, it’s like a drag radial material that grabs hard in cold temps.

Gonna spend some time on YouTube and Google checking that out 😁
