Finally sold my 2016 Charger Hellcat. I'm looking to build a 15-17 S550 6R80 car(I prefer the front end). I don't have much access to E85, but I could get it to race on. Looking at a twin turbo setup or a whipple, most likely. Should I just get ID1050x and call it a day? or Would you get a larger ID1300+ for the E85/track? I've been fast before (low 8's @ 170+), just trying to wrap my head around these newer cars. Also what fuel system would you go with? If I don't use E85 at the track, I will run on race fuel.

Might as well go big. If you've been down the big horsepower road before. I have an e85 tune. Ive decided to use during the summer and drag strip trips. You'll need a return style fuel system to run e85. How big of a system will be based on your power figure. People will tell you different numbers. But I personally think 800whp is a good safe place for the stock engine and transmission. Will it hold more? Sure, but for how long.

I know you used to run at atco. I used to run there too in the 2000's, I won NMRA true street in 2007 if you were into it back then. I appreciate the advice! This will be a 3rd/fun car for me, so fast is a little more important than safe if you know what I mean. But I also don't want to just hurt it to hurt it. I am more than willing to put money into a return style fuel system. Just trying to spend the money wisely. Thanks again for your help!

You’ll need lots of fuel system to make respectable power on e85. Fore is tough beat. I did their level 4 to leave no doubt about fuel. Little did I anticipate not having it on the car all that long. 1050x’s more than enough blow the stock motor, but if you ever plan on beefing up the motor go atleast 1300’s

it really comes down to total power goals, everything up to 1300 can be tuned very easily on pump and e85, drivability would still be fine with either, so you just have to decide what your goals are, if you don't plan on 4 digit hp numbers, the 1050x should be fine, if you think you may build an engine down the road and don't want to do it 2 times, the 1300 are fine as well.

feel free to hit me with any questions, also, were in OH so not too far away either, and you could always bring it to us for install as well

feel free to hit me with any questions or discuss your wants needs

D*mn, that's some plans for some big power. You got the attention of the heavy hitter vendors already. You can't lose with either of them.

1300 ccs will get the job done, you might want to go even larger if you're going to go all out.

Not to jack the thread but I am going to a build long block next year and deciding between ID1300s or ID1700s. Goals are 1400 WHP on E85.

Car is a 2019 with twin turbos. I keep the car on pump e85 and gets 93 only for storage.

Will the ID1700s idle and drive ok on pump 93?.

1300 will be more than enough. They are good for about 1200whp themselves plus your direct injections is good for another 400-500whp.
