Does anyone know when HP tuners is going to release the transbrake and bump box for the 6r80? I would also love to hear feedback from high horsepower turbo cars using it on the 10r80. I am curious how they are using a two step with it.

I haven’t seen any high hp cars use it other than Michael Mac with his 700hp Vortech setup. (Low 10s). They all seem to footbrake only. Mark@CarlyleRacing broke a 10R80 leaving on it on a NA tune only car. He said it is really abusive on the tranny. I have it, but am afraid to use it. I figure with 871whp, my trans is on borrowed time as is.

I think Lund was working on one a while back. He was looking for volunteer cars to try it, but needed some wiring work done too. So not entirely p&p.

Lund has the wiring and tune dialed in for that setup. I was looking for something that did not involve the wiring.

I used it on my 18 10r80 Procharged car for the first time this weekend. Tuned by Rob Shoemaker at PBD. It worked flawless and instantly dropped my 60’ to a PB 1.49
With a little practice and some more rpm there is a lot left in it.

Are you supposed to have the gas floored before you release the paddle? If not, what throttle position are you supposed to be at when you release?

Is there a 2 step built in as well? Seems like there has to be if you can hold the car wide open.

There is not a 2 step and no you don’t hold it wide open. You just rev it to your launch rpm just like if you were foot braking. When you let go of the paddle it’s basiclly like dumping the clutch.

I think it wont go over like 3k RPM even if you are full throttle. I havent tried it much though
