I was talking to my dealer today as I put through my second order - Competition Orange Manual GT Fastback with a black roof...

Some things that came up:
- The only difference in cars after the December 1st price rise is the price - this is driven purely by the AU$
- I'm in Group C for my initial order - a, so I think Group A is coming in now, Group B is March-ish (I believe) and Group C is later (May/June)
- Confirmed that the ship for the first shipment of Mustangs was in NZ before heading here
- Mentioned that the parts supply for V8s was struggling, because the V8s are so popular - indicated that EcoBoosts might start coming in sooner - i.e. if you're desperate for any Mustang ASAP, try an EB

... and Ford Aus is sending out a link to this YouTube video to people as their cars are confirmed:
I was told its around a 4k price hike? what would you guys think is a reasonable delivery date for a July 2015 ordered car? Dealer is adiment its sept 2016, does that seem right.
And no.....I'm not desparate enough to consider an EB Mustang :headbonk::doh::D

It's a $2.5k hike - could mean a little more with LCT and stamp duty on top of that, but shouldn't be $4k.

I was quoted Nov 2016 for a (today!) Nov 2015 order, so they're still saying 12 months elsewhere - FWIW.

Good question - sounds like the batches are groups of groups :)
I guess that Group A and B are "batch 1" and Group C (maybe D?) are "batch 2" - I don't know where the "batch" terminology came from.

WA stamp duty is the highest in the country so that may be what's pushing it closer to $4k
OZDAZ5.0 and I both are with the same dealership and to-date they have been pretty spot on re any pricing discussion. Just sayin.

Stamp duty on $2.5k is only be about 50 bucks (even in WA!).

LCT kicks in around the 62-63k mark, which is right about where a manual GT sits, so that would add $750 for the $2.5k - i.e. about $800 on top of the 2.5k, or about $3.3k.

LCT is 25% of anything over 57k here.

AFAIK it's Federal, so not any more - it was 25% and 57k threshold in 2008, now it's 33% and 61-63k (I'm not sure how the rules apply in terms of when the car was delivered vs ordered).

LCT thresholds
Financial year Other vehicles (not fuel efficient)
2015–16 $63,184
2014–15 $61,884
2013–14 $60,316
2012–13 $59,133
2011–12 $57,466
2010–11 $57,466
2009–10 $57,180

This is off my contract, I may have read it wrong.

There was no specific mention of LCT...

Yeah, and I wasn't thinking straight, the 62k for a GT Manual is after all the onroads, so it wouldn't kick in the LCT, i.e. for a non convertible, it should only be $2.5k (plus another 50 bucks for stamp duty), but for a convertible, that's when the LCT kicks in, and you'd be up another 800 bucks.

Sept 2016 seems about right. I ordered mine in Sept and I've been given NOV 2016 for delivery (confirmed again on Monday).

Have you dealer separate out your on road costs, ctp rego etc and either pay them separately or direct with the States motoring authority

Just checked etis, my car was built on the 23/11/2015.

Also got word from Deysha, my car is on the train heading for Baltimore, I'm hoping its going to be on the Oberon but it might be on the boat after.
