Hi all,

Asking for opinions/pointers on my wheel and tire setups.

Goal: To have 1 set for street use and 1 set for non-street use.

Currently:

(- I have 1 set of upgraded OEM non-HP wheels that came with my car (PS4S, 255 front and 275 rear); I intend to sell them once I figured things out)
- I have one set of HP wheels with Cup 2s (305 front 315 rear)
- I just purchased 4 new PS4S tires (305 front 315 rear) with the intent to put them on the OEM HP wheels I have (after taking off the Cup 2s)

Options (for wheels for the Cup 2s):

- Be patient and try to find another set of OEM HP wheels here on the forum (side note: I thought I had purchased a set through a Facebook group a week ago but it turned out to be a scam so I'd only consider face to face deals through FB, if at all)

- Buy some OEM Ford Performance HP wheels like these https://lmr.com/item/M1007KMACH1H/ford-performance-mustang-mach-1-handling-pack-wheel-kit

- Go with lighter after market wheels. Problem is I don't want to break the bank and the 305/315 Cup 2s are really only recommended for 10.5" width front and 11" width rear (I don't want to run spacers up front) and there are not many offerings for this size combo.

Appreciate any thoughts (except for scam lectures - I feel terrible enough I fell for it).

Thank you!

I can only comment on what I did. I kept the OEM wheels with my PS4S and use that for street use. For street use, I wouldn't worry about whether they were HP or non-HP. But I also use the PS4S for wet track days.
For dry track use, I got the Apex 11" EC-7 (52 offset) which are much lighter and use them with spacers up front. 305/30/19 that can go all square (front and rear) and a spare that would work front or rear.
I also got an extra set of Apex wheels so I can use 325/30/19 at the rear because I just wanted that little bit of extra rubber for the track. Does it help? Not sure because there are so many factors that affect your track times.
