I have a 20x9 +38 offset front wheel, I didn't like how tucked it was so I purchased a 12 mm spacer. I asked around and opinions seem split as to whether or not I need a longer wheel stud. Anyone running something similar? If so would you suggest a longer stud? If a longer stud is suggested where did you purchase them? I have not really been able to find anything.

Yes, you need longer studs for spacers that thick. If you love the wheels, you will be better off getting 20mm Eibach wheel spacers. These bolt onto the Hub of your car, and then you bolt the wheel onto the spacer. On the +38 wheel, a 20mm spacer will give you a 5.71" back spacing and 3.29" front spacing. For reference, the CDC Outlaw wheel for the 2015 Mustang is a 20x9 @ +20mm.

I felt that 20mm would be to much, do you know whether or not they make an extended stud yet? I called a few speed shops and they weren't able to find any, also checked ARP's site

a ET 20 will make it flusher in this case it would eb a ET 18 if you used a 10 mm spacer

Now that being said, the car has the room, you should have done a 15 mm adapter it would have been less of a hassle.
