Primarily drive the car on the street but want to take it to the track in the future. For the time being I am wanting to go with a Race Star 92 17x10.5 wrapped in a 315/35/17 NT05, but after reading so many different sources of information I have no clue what would be the best for me. Should I just get new tires on my existing factory wheels? I do not have any modifications yet and live in Las Vegas, so the weather is decent year round. I consistently see posts stating I will need to adjust my driving habits having a tire in the rear with a softer sidewall, are there any other considerations going with a non-traditional tire setup?
