I'm in the same situation here in CA. I wouldn't mind going catless, as long as I have an easy fix should I get a fix-it ticket or have to get smog tested. Luckily, I think we only have to get smogged every 5 years but I still don't want to take a chance. Getting the MAK Cat deletes would allow for super easy swaps between the stock cats and the delete pipes as long as flanges are welded in the proper spots. That and I've heard that the MAK Cat delete pipes make the car sound like it has headers and they a third of the price.kinda. might be like splitting the difference. I've been considering this route too, since I live in VA, and don't want to eff around with being catless and being screwed when it's emissions/inspection time.
