I would never have a RWD drive high performance car as my Daily driver in winter. I store all my rides during the winter. My DDs are a Lexus, Z06, Tahoe and if I include cars I bought for my kids then add in a Mazda and a WRX.

Mustangs are dime a dozen and nothing rare or special about a 5.0

This car is wayyyy better in the snow that anyone believes when I tell them I drive it year round.

Its pretty simple in the winter dress for the occasion. Once the snows come off DRs will go on.

Well, last year I was behind some biatch driving a GT 5.0 with Summer tires trying to drive with 4' inches of snow in the street.

Bitch couldn't get thru the intersection.

I was like WTF lady? :punch:

Nothing can make up for lack of brain cells sometimes.

That being said modern rwd on snow tires is very capable so long as person behind the wheel has some brains too. LOL

Yes and as soon as these are burned up Ill buy another set for next winter.

Nokians kick ass.
Those are some of the most popular winter tires up here along with Blizzaks and I-Pikes

We don't have a winter beater season in SOCAL, but I drive the truck to balance miles and change-up my commute.

2004 Mazdaspeed Miata with some mods. Super fast, super fun. Always thought it would give the Shelby a heck of a run for its momey.

VW Atlas, great for skiing 3-4 times a week and lots of fly fishing in the summer, usually with a couple other guys and a pantload ofgear.

Here's our newest "R" model. It came right before Christmas. Just a bit more hp than the Voodoo at 560. 18 speed. Comes in at 52000# with the full rack of weights on the front. 0-20 mph, 30.3 seconds. Fuel consumption 16.4 gal/hr @load. Doesn't corner well at all. But boy does this animal have traction!!! No sticky tires here. Think'n it'll go just about anywhere when the snow flies!

Are the rubber tracks primarily used for a pulling advantage over tires? i was picking up a much, much smaller pc of equipment a few months ago and overheard part of salesmen's conversation regarding them.
