What is your fav stripe pattern on the S550?

Definitely paint, not matte vinyl, matte anything makes waxing the car a pain, Personally looking at pulling off my matte black vinyl stripes and having a satin black with red pinstripe on the outside.

Best stripes are no stripes at all.

They look great on a GT350 but otherwise on a regular car I feel like you're a tryhard.

Don't even get me started on the California special faded rocker panel stripes :frusty:

Ill vote Super Snake stripe, its what I would do if I striped a S550. Painted on -- not vinyl. Something about it works well on the S550. Of course no stripe looks good too on these cars. Whatever fancies you - do it! Your car so you have to be happy in the end.

Update, I spoke to the shop owner today, and as promised, he will paint on the stripes at no charge. To do any other pattern or to paint the roof, will cost me more. I decided to go with the black stripes that are in the same pattern as the factory ghost stripes. I'm basically trading the factory stickers for painted stripes at no additional cost to me. I'll post pics when I get the car....it'll be a few weeks

Stripes don't mean you're trying too hard. I'd go with the newer GT350 stripes in gloss paint. Perhaps gloss black with the accent color . That's what I will eventually do. People have put stripes on these cars for 50 years, so don't let anyone change your mind if it's made in already.
