I’m installing the steeda transmission support. This part wasn’t in their video so I’m curious as to why I have it. I can’t install the rubber piece, nor can I fully remove the bracket without removing this part… but the O2 sensors are in the way… and they’re on their tiiiiiiight.

It looks like a vibration damper, I didn't know there was one there.

Any Ford techs on here that can tell me why this is on my car and if I should remove it? I can’t find a single video on it or anything online.

Vibration dampers, not at all uncommon, GT350 had a few. 00's explorers, 90's Camaros had a huge one in the bumper cover. They use them to dampen harmonic resonances in various components that start to shake at some speed. As far as removing it, well they put it on there for a reason. If you do you can't be alarmed if something starts to shake or make noise.

I ain't tech, but it's supposed to be there and you can take it off and put it back on after you get your part installed.

If you are installing the bushing then you should be able to get it in the hole after you take that off.

I wish I was able to take it off. The O2 sensors are in the way and they are not budging.

I’m going to remove the bushing and see what it feels like.
