What does the Sync 3 screen look like without navigation?

With Nav though, don't you have to pay $300 to up-date maps and info when necessary? I thought that was what I heard back when I ordered my '15 GT

This should give you an idea of the costs associated with updating maps.

Thanks Whitney, Looks like a 2014 up date with maps is $149. The 15 is not listed because it's current. With Garmin having life time updates available, I would think an up charge at time of sell could avoid up date charges later. I
hate to buy a product that becomes obsolete quickly.Actually, in the case of the 2014 Pony,it would need an update before the car's warranty expires. Software up dates don't cost the hospitals money during warranty,even during extended warranty periods. Thanks, Jack

Your software updates for MFT are free. HERE.com charges for map updates. The current version is A6. Really there isn't much need to update mapping but people do like the latest and greatest. I agree map updates should be free but we can't have everything. Many people get map cards cheaper on ebay, etc.

That's plain.

And I cannot stand how something used often is not on main menu (climate) yet something not used very often is (compass).

BetterUI or not, the choices on main screen could definitely be optimized.
