Are there any axle backs that produce a deep tone that are drone free? That's my biggest fear with changing the stock exhaust setup. I want a good sound but I definitely don't want drone.

if you want deep tone, your going to get drone at some point in the rpm range. that doesn't mean its always going to have drone, just at certain rpm/load. my car is silent between 2,000-2,400 rpm, which is the rpm I do most of my cruising at. magnaflow is your best bet....stay away from flowmasters. though I tried a flowmaster X pipe resonator delete, and it was amazingly quiet/drone free with my magnaflows

It sounds like our Competition axleback may be a good option for you!

You can hear the final sound at 1:29

as I think was already mentioned here, as long as you keep the stock resonator/suitcase/h-box up front, than u should be ok for drone. I think the FM Outlaw is the only one might be borderline. the Roush AB drone is non-existent with the factory resonator, but very noticeable with an x-pipe.
if you change the midpipe, an h-pipe will help with drone but only adds power at low rpm. these engines shine at higher rpm.

The flowmaster outlaws have a very noticeable drone around 2k-3k rpm and could be very annoying to some. It's annoying from time to time to me, but I enjoy the exhaust more than it annoys me :)

IMO, this statement is not accurate at all. I agree to keeping the suitcase, but it by no means keeps drone away. I tried 11" long and 14" long Maganflow mufflers and on my convertible, I got more drone than I was able to tolerate. My drone was between 1400 - 1800 rpms. After going back to stock mufflers for 8 months, I am now retrying the 14" MF's. I will try to create adjustable 1/4 Helmholtz resonators to quell this drone.

In this forum, flowmasters and magnaflow has the most serious drone...

It sounds like shit and will make you crazy after long drives. Imagine putting a speaker in your car that is only allowed to play nickelback at ear shattering levels.

if you have an SUV, roll down a window but leave the other ones closed and drive around like that at around 35-60mph. the sound thats generated that puts pressure on ear drum, thats drone.

I think.
