Decided to remove my front corner reflector black-outs (after 3 years they're in a pretty poor condition) which took 2 minutes. Then wasted 3 hours of my life getting all the f'ing sticky residue off! If only I was signed up to some sort of forum where I could have looked up or asked for advice in advance!!!
meths and a piece of kitchen roll done in under a minute :)

Looks great. Your is a 2018? I thought these covers weren't available for the 2018+.

Where did you get them?

dropping mine off at ford for a new bonnet apparently its going to take them about 2 weeks to spray and fit a bonnet ! yet more alarm bells going off in head. i'll be delivering it to them with less than 5 miles of fuel in it a few other tricks to make sure nobody is going joy riding in it.

Sorry a bit confusing Mustang new in 2018 but is a 2017MY
By that logic, shouldn't you update your profile to say 2019 GT? 2018 was just one year the car passed thru after being built in 2016 or 2017.

not in the uk we're basically a year behind you guys the backlog is that deep that although his was registered in 18 (hence the 18 plate) it was only built at the end of 17 / start of 18

Does sound odd. They only had mine for 3/4 days to paint/replace the bonnet.

Are you sure about that? I thought the face-lift '18 models started production on October 2017, so '17 models would have been built prior to that (i.e. earlier than Oct 2017).

The dealer I've just picked mine back up from has a large bodyshop, but said they effectively weren't 'authorised' to work on aluminium. Maybe the 2 weeks is due to your dealer subcontracting the job out. Given that painting aluminium is clearly on the limits of the capability of the actual Ford factory, presumably it's not as straight forward as steel?
