Looking awesome Spoonex - I think Ford totally nailed the 15-18, there's not really a bad angle and the 6GR's set it off.

Will be a lot easier to clean than the standard alloys that's for sure :D

I've had a couple of red cars with black alloys, accents (Boxster S, and a Mini JCW) and it's a lovely combination :coolphotos:
Best combination ;)!

Does look good Chris! Nice work, What's next then?!

I fitted the red piping that Manders showed on this thread. I only did the centre console not the door cards. Easy to do, I did not need to remove anything just used a trim removal spatula to ease the gap open a little. A small but pleasing addition.

Probably one of my mods that's got the most compliments on it. and it's probably the cheapest as well!

Car detail (not by a pro, just me) pictures...

I used a clay-towel (new product) which made claying a doddle, H2koat sealant, and simoniz cannuba wax. It was 2 bucketed with Rockets Apple shampoo & snowfoamed with Rockets Snowfoam.

The interior was fully cleaned with interior cleaner, and leather protector. Vaccuum'd mopped down, the painted parts (cf bits), were also sealed, waxed and provided with a coating of Rockets King of gloss.

Here's how grimey it was before:

(none of the outside)

And here it is now, after a full 2 bucket clean, snowfoam, claybar, sealant, waxed.

To compare (top has no wax on, bottom does), shows the change in colour the top starts at the top of the 3rd circular light (the top one).

Went to dealers as they said it was now ready for collection (yay)

As per instructions they'd not washed it and they apologised for the amount of cr@p over it as it had lived outside for 2 weeks, no bother I said, I'll sort it when I get home.

Having got it home (41 miles) I thought I'd check the oil life (I know they've reset it as it's not longer asking for an oil change/service.

It was at 96% - if I wasn't already sitting in the seat I'd have fallen down. Then I did some maths.

100%/52 weeks = 1.92% life "usage" per week
1.92*2 (they've had it 2 weeks) = 3.82, I'll round up to 4 as it's been driven
100%-4 gives the gauge's magic 96% life

I've reset it again and will be interested to see if it reports the same value in 2 weeks.

I have to say I much prefer my wife's Jeep Renegade system, where it just counts down in days until the next service.

I also booked in with djone101 at GT101 for some Roush Axel Back's and the US spec lower grill, in 2 weeks time. Front end will be more "US" like and back end will be a tad louder, hopefully not too loud as Mrs Clark is already

PS I did wash the car when I get home before i put it away, no way I could let it be that dirty.

I finally got around to installing those Eibach Sportline springs, my wheels are now nicely framed in the arches!

That reminded me of several hours spent whacking the spline bolts with a 5lb copper mallet only to discover my spring compressors were too long and had to go on upside down too! The back end was a doddle wasn’t it!

Given its fully optioned out and can throw a few punches at an AMG, I'm not surprised. Build quality aside, you're looking at £55k to £65k for something comparable in pace and size.

Now that looks good

Did you sit in the Recaros? If so what did you think compared to the standard seats?
