Good man. I did that within like a month of owning the car. I don't get why these still got a prop rod...
I know! Hood struts aren’t expensive, wouldn’t cost Ford much of anything ($20?). Our oldest car is a 2014 and it even has gas hood struts lol. Was pretty surprised the Mustang had a prop rod.

Next thing I'm really considering is the trunk popper struts...

JLT Oil catch can installed, along with a Steeda boot struts. Honestly, if you now stand 'over' the boot, it might just knock you out - LOL

That was the thing just about everyone had said. But it pops open on all three opening types, right? Meaning fob, inside the car release and under-bumper-release?

And still fairly easy to close?

Yes, rather firm to close it.
Actually, I have not tried it with the fob. I guess I should. I actually avoid using the fob at all cost (cannot stand even having it on me). The inside button opens the boot just fine.

EDIT:
Fob opens the boot, no problem...

Still prefer stock with no-touch (of anything shiny or visible) one finger open or close.

I remember you (or someone) actually mentioning that you close the trunk by touching on the unexposed part and always wondered how that was done...

That's pretty sweet, but seems more for a car that always is polished (as your decklid seems). I put my Mustang through some work, so fingerprints will always be there to an extent...

Touche'. However, like today, walking up to the car with loads of bags, it was nice that the boot was fully opened for me to merely place the items in.
You know how we are, we want to pick up ALL the bags in one trip - LOL

Are your calipers painted or done where they place them in an oven, etcetera?
