I wash my mower too!, and my wife thi is I am weird. But now after seeing your post I will wash without shame, and after seeing freepenguin's post, i will be waxing my mower too... maybe compound it first...
I won’t lie I kinda wanna paint my cub cadet grabber blue. If I took the body off I bet would ford paint it for a few hundred. 400-500

I am actually trying to get the guy who installed this generac 8 years ago to come back, I want to push it 2-3 feet back, so I can have a long line of edging, then a 90* turn, where it sits now I can’t, because it’s out further

keep in mind, it’s only that far from house because I had a bunch of bushes, I ripped them all out last week and put down that river rock.
I will move the rock from behind it if he says he will move it for me

I don’t see any issue? I mean, just turn gas off, shorten the gas pipe 2-3 feet, I assume disconnect wires from generator, then shorten those after moving generator and reattach.

hoping He doesn’t try and take an arm abs leg from me or it will become a DIY project lol, in the photos I’m posting that dark spot in front of ac I’ve been slowly filling w dirt and leveling and seeding. Small few week long project.

The redline is where I want the generator and everything be within bounds of.

It’ll look much nicer closer to the house, mines about two feet away. I was told by the installer not to plant anything within five feet of the side it vents from cause it’ll burn it up. (But I’m sure you already know)

the vents was never obstructed but god the bushes took over. Saw no reason to not strip it all bare. Mine runs like a champ! Turns on every time, purrs. Gets used several times a year on actual outages, does it’s routine checks and all that jazz.

I just tossed in amsoil signature 5w-30 in it. I was torn between amsoil small engine oil5w-30 or signature series. I guess small engine oil has more zddp or something but the signature has a tbn of soemthing like 12 value, but small engine oil has 8.5 tbn.

if my engine spontaneously destructs I’m blaming amsoil lol. It’s been chugging along on the generac oil for 8-9 years

mines only a 8kw. But it powers all the essentials and majority of house. It’s mainlythere for sump pump during storms to prevent flooding, and fridge freezers etc

Yes. There was a softer rubber cover below that. Finally figured out how to get to the badge. Just not able to get that rubber part completely back. It attaches at the front by 4 push pins that need to be pushed from below. I could get the outside two, just not the inner two.

Not 100% sold on the red as is. Might try clear plastidip over it to dull down the shine.

Those red accents look great! Have you painted the calipers yet? I brush painted mine in place with the car up on jack stands. Easy peasy.

I get free maintenance for the first seven years. They are super reliable. Mines 16kw, living on the east coast we need it for hurricanes. I can run everything in the house but can’t run the a/c and dryer at the same time. I’m good with that, I need my a/c. LOL

just watered the grass. It’s done everything I need, I love having it. Mine was installed in like 2012 or so.

All I am going to do is ask the person to check valves every couple years. I don’t know how to do that.

edit, my ac kinda sits angled downwards in corner. Any reason why I can’t push some rocks or dirt under the corner and level and raise it?

it’s opposite side of the hard lines. I’ve been weary about trying not to move to not break anything

once it’s all done, I am gonna do it myself a concrete edge all way down and a curve instead of hard 90* for mowing. Fingers crossed it turns out nice

I put mustang in the garage due to tornado like storm last night. It’s like 90* out, don’t even feel like pulling it out due to cicaedas smashing onto everyone’s car

I don’t think it’ll hurt if you raised one side up a couple of inches, they’re supposed to be level anyhow.

Removed dealer-installed tracking device.
IMG_0185.JPG

I'm actually not super paranoid about this kind of stuff. To be fair, the dealer wasn't sneaky about it and I knew it was there. I thought : "OK fine, it might be handy if the car is stolen or if I get sudden dementia, maybe my wife can find me". But.... nah....to hell with that. After a year, I'd have to pay for it, but the biggest issue is that they did such a sloppy job of installing it. Don't need. Don't want.

Ooo. I would have a problem with that too.
When I was reading, I was like, "who cares about 2-3feet", then I saw your photo and was like, "oh.... I would totally want that moved.".

Washed my car in the rain.

Actually, I got everything ready, hose, pressure washer, bucket, Mitt. Added soap to the bucket, added water, and it started raining... since I already had soap in the bucket, I decided to go ahead and wash my car. Rain stopped as I was finishing up though. Wife was shaking her head.

Yep. I feel ya' OCD brother. Would be much cleaner.
I’ve been on a house improvement kick, power washed concrete patio, sidewalk. Curbs. It’s cicaeda season, once every 17 years. Power washer is noisy and they was dive bombing me crawling all over me. Mating call or something

ripped outall kinds bushes, replanting sod, moving generator tore out 23 feet fence, pulling the post soon and trying to find nice vinyl fencing to replace

everyone’s sold out of everything everywhere. It’s such garbage.

but I went andmoved rocks to see how it would look, may need another foot moved, will let him tell me, can do it in 2 mins . Here’s my stang w the snorkels color matched. Just sitting inside from the 90*sun.

just don’t feel like driving it with all these cicaedas, absolutely smashing and splattering cars on every drive. They leave golf ball size splats

Today I swapped out the stock grill on my 2020 GT Premium with a Bullitt style grill that I bought on eBay for $119. I had no issues at all with fit or quality. My main reason for the swap was to get rid of the fangs. I will miss the black pony on the front, but I ordered a black pony to mount on the rear deck where the Camaro drivers can see it.

I don't like the fangs at all. Had to get rid of mine. A Pony Package grill is another cure, or the 50th Anniversary grill for pre '18.

Test fit a roof spoiler, GTS solarwing. Had a roof spoiler on the first car I bought myself (Infiniti G37, for those of you curious) and always liked them, also saw @2015DIBGT's and assumed it was this one, so thought I'd try it out. I really like it, so will probably make it official later today.
Also featuring my dog in the first pic peeking out
