What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

GT350 wheel installed today. Very happy I didn't wrap the stock wheel like I thought. I ponied up for the wheel and it is awesome. Decided not to go with the R version as the standard 350 wheel has white stitching that matches my base seats.

Replaced the rear Perreli’s with Firestone Firehawk Indy 500’s. Got a great deal on sale and it was a very impromptu decision. There was maybe 2-3k left on the Perelli’s. They made it 10k.. lol.

Removed the giant engine cover and sound tube. I even managed to get the plug into the firewall hole! My hand should heal up in a few days.

What does the sound tube actually do? And why do folks delete it?

Just further on the 303 discussion, I too love this stuff. I find that using a microfibre pad to be a convenient way to apply. It means not folding and then refolding a cloth as you work around the interior or on the exterior trim pieces. The pad falls easily into hand making the process much easier.

What does the sound tube actually do? And why do folks delete it?

It's supposed to pass some engine sound into the cabin. This is my second S550 and second removed sound tube and I don't detect any difference at all in the sound. Maybe it's my old ears, or maybe need to run with and without back to back to hear a difference. Most people remove it to clean up under the hood a bit.

The 1966 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S came with a special unwrapped air filter that passed a great deal more intake sound than did the standard piece.
