Holy crap. So if you knew that going in - why did you bother leasing at all? Was that to build up your credit?

That was one reason. The other was I moved from another country. I didn't know how well I would fit in with my new team and I thought it might be worthwhile getting a vehicle for 3 years and when I leave, I didn't have to bother or worry about selling it. Let's just say, things went well. I love it here. Hahaha.
