Some driving tips for the first few years.
- never accelerate in a tight turn when it’s wet
- never accelerate in a tight turn when it’s dry
- squeeze the gas pedal, don’t floor it

You can relax those rules a bit once you know your car well.

First off congrats on you new purchase. Ok you asked something you wished you knew when you bought you first mustang. I know I said this before. Well my first Pony car was a 77 TA in 1987 I was 19. I had just got 10k through a insurance pay out. My Dad suggested I invest and buy the house he was selling 68k. Well I wanted to build my car instead. Well the house is worth 650k now and my 77 TA is worth 40 at best. You're young Invest the money in property. The money will come and you can build a way better car later. I wish I listened to him.

I wish I knew how awesome it is to have one of these. I would have gotten one way sooner! Kudos to you on that respect. Enjoy your ride!
If I would have known my 23 GT had a plastic oil pan with a plastic oil plug I might have bought another car like an M2 assuming it has a metal pan

I wish I knew my 1967 Fastback would increase in worth 10 times plus a couple years after I sold it.

I wish I knew that the 3.9L in my 2004 was as much of a boat anchor and as un-mod-able in CA as it was. They made a few thousand Mustangs with the 3.9L in 2004, instead of the 3.8L, and all the CARB approved parts were only applicable to the 3.8L, not the 3.9L. It was a good and fun car, but not fast at all.

I wish I had known the roads in Colorado were total crap before I picked up my 2022 Mach1 and drove it home through there from Iowa (Granger Motors). I would have spent the extra big bucks for PPF.

I wish I would have kept my ZL1...
You didn't have anybody to smack you upside the head when you mentioned you might sell the ZL1 ? I would have... you need more friends like me haha.

I have a 22 whipple GT now that’s faster for almost half the cost. But yeah should have held on to that ZL1. It had a Maggie 2650.

I would wish I knew that I would be driving Mustangs literally the rest of my life. They've all been fun. They've all been daily drivers. No regrets at all.

This thread is brutal. If I was the op I would be looking for another forum ? How did camaro talk get into this.
My advise. Get a real nice set of brand new tires and drive car as it sits for at least a year. Fix anything wrong. No mods. Zero mods.

- way more practical then initially expected (fits 4)
Do you spend a lot of time driving midgets around??? I love my car, but nobody with legs longer than 12" is ever going to fit behind me on that weirdly shaped parcel shelf.
