Leaving a friend's house tonight and as I go to accelerate I see the traction control light blinking like crazy. I have never seen it on before. Anyway it blinks like crazy and the car couldn't put down any power. It felt like it wasn't in gear.

I was able to pull over and let the car sit for a minute or so. After starting back up all seemed well and no more problem. However it did sound like there were pieces of something rattling in my wheel well.

It is also worth noting my back left tire sensor has been yellow lately. It says low tire pressure but that tire is the same as the other 4. But the light refuses to go off. Anyway this is my first wtf moment with my car and any advice would be appreciated .thanks

The tire pressure warning sounds like a bad TPMS sensor.

May be unrelated, but I would not be surprised if the car goes into some kind of limp mode if it THINKS any tires have too low a pressure. The stability and traction control systems count on certain things, including the tires having air in them.

Yup, agree with this. First check and adjust tire pressure, then check the one bad tire/wheel for a defective TPMS. Did you hit a bad pot hole with that one tire?

I'll guess ABS wheel sensor problem? And that the tire pressure is a bad sensor not related directly to the ABS.

Thanks for the replies I will look into it. I live in San Francisco so extreme potholes are just a fact of life. Also the tpms light has been on for days now.

Im thinking that maybe it's maybe not such a big deal since the traction control was just acting odd as opposed to the service advanctrac message. Right?
