So I have owned a 15 GT w/PP for less than 3 months and am about to break the 5k miles mark. Took a second to look at my rear tires yesterday, and wow.... Either these pirelli tires wear crazy fast or I drive more aggressively than I thought...

Based on current tread and how fast I went through these, I would be surprised if the tires made it another month. :frusty:

I was planning to look at getting out of the staggered setup before my next tires, and now I am at decision time a little sooner than expected. My current thought is going toward a square 20x10 black 5 spoke wheel with 285/295 tires, so I can rotate. I know some people have had success with 20X10 in front, but I am a little hesitant to drop $$$ with out at least asking around.

The ones that I am thinking about right now are the MMD 551c or the Rovos Durbans. From the sites that I have seen they all only recommend the 20x10's on the rear. I reached out to Rovos to ask about running a 20x10 up front, and the response I got said that it requires you to run a 3.5mm hub centric spacer which is needed due to the over sized grease caps on the hubs.

Rovos have a offset of +38mm and the MMD +45mm

So long story short, has anybody had any issues fitting 20x10 285/295 up front and is running a spacer up front something to worry about?

There's a reason I call them suckadickrelli's, they're terrible imo and I got no idea why Ford uses them

As for the other point, curious as well

If you dig thru autocross track threads and wheel threads youll find spacers are ok if you change the studs out as needed to get at least 6-7 turns on threads on lugnuts.
Serious handling guys are running 18x10 w spacers front, no spacers rear.
Example see Apex wheels mustang EC7 fitment notes.
http://www.apexraceparts.com/apex-p...T43-APEX-EC-7-Mustang-Wheel.html#.VmVBr19OKnM

A square setup is constrained by rears that hit outside fenders and fronts that hit inside strut. Best case is get wheels that just fit inside rear outside fender w suspension compressed, and then use spacers on the front to clear the strut on inside. This should work on 18,19,20 in the 10 to 10.5 range.

There are a couple setups mentioned that are 20x10 that look nice and have offsets listed w pics.

Its not uncommon the Pirelli tires wear out super super fast.

I would do the Durban 20x10 all around wrap it in a 285 tire all around and your golden !

You do need the small spacer to help push it out a bit for proper fitment, this will give you a nice deep concave all around and the 285 fills the car up real nice.

Let me know if I can help you out personally.

Hey guys re-opening this, my pzero's on my pp wore out at 12000 on the rear as expected, but just crawled under my car and seen the inside of my front are basically to the danger zone due to the agressive camber, car has 14000 on it now and the middle/outside portion of the tire still has tons of tread but the Inside is shot. Still on stock height. Any e else have this problem?

I'm not even at 5K and mine are about shot, maybe another 1 or 2K if I'm lucky. Worse tires ever in my opinion. I don't think they even hook up well for how fast they wear.

That I will agree with, love pirelli's on my sport bike, on my s550 damn things are useless
Dont get me wrong their Trofeo and the Rosso are great but the price range and its impractical for street use

the P Zero is just not there IMO , should have used Michelins IMO

Agreed with that statement, some decent conti's wouldn't have been bad either

The DW is a good well priced tire, Def want to check comparison between the DW and the 555 G2

Awesome tires for the price.

Rule of thumb rears wear out twice before the fronts, in this case their all just wearing out lol
