Decided on a Premium. Am waiting for a bunch of brochures to arrive so I'll have a $750 coupon at time of order. I have an A-Plan (My son got his engineering PhD last year and went to work for Ford) so I don't have to worry about finding a great deal where I live.

Before I decided on a Premium, I was debating flying up to Washington and buying that one because it was exactly like I wanted for a non-premium in one of the 3 colors I wanted. They were selling it for a great price. Its an August build if I recall (can't find the Windows sticker - maybe deleted it). It was such a good price I had to confirm it wasn't hail damaged (not that I would care if paint-less repaired - but it would effect the price) or a demo or damaged and repaired or some event program car, etc, etc. No to all that though. He finally said they just don't want one on the lot that long. They don't over think it. If it doesn't move, keep lowering the price. Maybe people in Washington don't like Silver? Who knows? I think its a beautiful car.

Yea i actually havent seen any silver mustangs around. But yea they said it was sitting a bit. I bet its cause everyone is on the black wheel kick. Also might be its not a premium. Most dealers have premiums and i imagine thats cause these wannabe hippy liberals like there technology.

If it is you came out ahead.

I know the extra price for the Silver wheels is rolled into the PP price. If the window sticker doesn't mention the silver wheels, the PP price will tell us if the silver wheels came on the car or the dealer swapped them from another car when that buyer wanted black. You made out even better if that happened.

Post some pictures when you pick it up (today?)

ingot silver + nickel finish wheels is the best color combo, i am surprised on how little ingots i see on the streets, since i think it truly shows the lines of the car and the lean muscle look.
if you think you love the color now....wait until you get dark tint and at see it at night!
Congrats!!!

I dont mind black wheels but seeing these i was sold. I havent seen many GTPP with these wheels even on the forums so it will be nice to be different than most

You are right about this. I obsessed for a week looking online for this combo (silver base GT PP and the optional nickel finish wheels.) I found three on dealer lots ... in the entire country! One in the Seattle area, one near Raleigh, N.C., and one at Koons in Sterling, Va. I flew from Hartford down to Dulles, took a taxi to the Koons lot and drove mine back home 350 miles to Connecticut. It's a beautiful, relatively rare combo. Congrats!! Mine says hi!

I have to ask because it took me a long time to just find the one in Washington: How did you find them all? Even someone I know at Ford HQ didn't know how to do a country wide search down to specific options and the silver wheels aren't even a separate option, just a variation of the Performance Package. I decided to order a car but would like to know for the next time.

I used cargurus.com, searching by zip code, color and PP option, but not the Premium option. Then I just checked the cars to see what wheels were on them. I canvased almost every major city in the country via zip code. (Yes, I'm a little nutty.) We're talking hours and hours of work online. I could have ordered the car, of course, but I didn't want to wait 3-4 months.

The mags accent the silver well. I like it. And the nickle mags you do not see often. Congrats brother. Gonna tune it?

That's what I was afraid of: no easy way LoL. And even worse if its an option that wouldn't show in pictures where you'd have to open every window sticker or hope the dealer put everything in their description for the few dealers that don't spring for the WS display.

I almost feel like hacking Ford and making my own query. LoL The info has to be in there someplace. I mean they they have to have it for any future recalls related to specific parts if nothing else. I know the dealers don't want a way for potential customers to search so that must be why Ford never even created an internal app to find all the VINs with certain options and then lookup what dealer got those VINs.
